🛠️ What's Changing?

1. Support Worker Rates Are Going Up!

Good news for support workers! Their pay is increasing by 3.95%, thanks to the Fair Work Commission's annual wage review and a rise in the Superannuation Guarantee. This means better pay for those who support you every day.

2.

In an effort to align NDIS pricing with broader market rates, the NDIA has announced reductions in the maximum fees that service providers can charge NDIS participants for therapies such as physiotherapy, dietetics, and podiatry. The national price limit for physiotherapists will drop to $183.99 per hour, and dietitians and podiatrists will see rates fall to $188.99 per hour. These changes aim to bring NDIS therapy pricing in line with what other Australians pay for similar services

3. No More Regional Pricing Differences

Previously, therapy prices varied by state and territory. Now, there's a national price limit, meaning no more regional pricing differences. This simplifies things and ensures fairness across the board.

4. Early Childhood Support Now Covers Ages 0–9

Great news for families! The early childhood approach now supports children up to 9 years old, up from the previous limit of 7. This means more time for your little ones to receive the support they need during crucial developmental years.

💡 How Does This Affect You?

  • More Fairness: Prices are aligning with what other Australians pay for similar services, ensuring fairness for all.

  • Better Support for Workers: Increased pay for support workers means better quality care for you.

  • Simplified Pricing: No more confusion over regional pricing differences—everything is standardized.

  • Extended Early Childhood Support: Your child can now receive support until they're 9 years old, giving them more time to thrive.
